Why fitted sheets pull loose on a tall mattress
A mattress topper can change more than how your bed feels. Here’s what to check when your fitted sheet no longer reaches comfortably around the corners.

Measure your mattress with the topper in place.
You smooth the fitted sheet over one corner, pull it over the next, and the first corner starts to lift. Before replacing the sheet, check what it has to cover. A thick mattress, a pillow top and an added topper all take up space inside the fitted pocket.
The size label only tells part of the story
Queen, King and Twin describe the bed size. They don’t tell you how much fabric the fitted sheet has along the sides. Two Queen mattresses can need different pocket depths, especially when one has a topper.
Measure from the bottom of your mattress to the top of the layer you sleep on. Include any topper or thick pad that will sit inside the sheet. Then compare that total with the dimensions on the product page.
Give the elastic room to reach underneath
The sheet needs enough depth for its elastic edge to sit beneath the mattress. If that edge is stretched across the side instead, pulling another corner into place can disturb the one you just tucked.
